Wayne Grimes, better known by his radio name Danny Fox, died Wednesday, May 21 at the age of 59.

Wayne was born August 7, 1954 in Phenix City, AL to Charlie and Maggie Grimes. After relocating to Shreveport, LA and then to Texarkana, TX, a program director by the name of Fabienne Trash gave him his first opportunity in radio. When both were eventually transferred to Shreveport, they hosted a very popular morning show called "Fabienne and the Fox" where he gained a large number of fans. After many years on the radio, Wayne transitioned to a role as a webmaster, where he maintained the websites for GAP Broadcasting and Townsquare Media until his retirement. Outside of radio, Wayne was an avid and talented bass player, playing with many bands over the years

Wayne is survived by his wife of thirty-four years, Kathleen, his beloved son Sean, his sister Margie, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by both his parents and his brother Tony.

A memorial service for Wayne will be held Sunday, June 1, 2014 at 2:00PM, on the "back porch" of KWKH, located at 6341 West Port Avenue, Shreveport, LA 71129. Services will be presided over by his brother-in-law, Michael Madden. Everyone is welcome to attend. Due to the summer weather, casual but appropriate clothing is suggested.
