Funeral services for Mary Francis Sutton Anderson, 83, of Shreveport, LA will be held at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 7, 2012 10:00 AM. A burial ceremony will immediately follow. Rev. Larry Williams of Broadmoor Baptist Church will officiate services. Pallbearers will be Clifton Woodruff, Dave Anderson, Justin Garrett, Brenden Garrett, and Jimmy Rosett. Visitation will be held Monday, August 6, 2012 from 5:00-7:00 PM at Centuries Memorial.
Mrs. Anderson entered into heaven on Friday, August 3, 2012 at WK Pierremont after a brief illness. Mary was born on May 28, 1929 in Cameron, TX and is the daughter of the late Earl & Freda Sutton. She was united in marriage to Charles Ray Anderson on December 30, 1948 in Shreveport, LA. They would have been married 64 loving years this coming December. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, and memaw. She was the oldest of 10 siblings.
She was a member of Broadmoor Baptist Church. The center of her life was her husband, four children, six grandkids, and six great grandchildren. She loved to work in her yard and loved spending time with her brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her husband Charles Ray Anderson, 4 children and spouses: Judy Garrett, David & Vicki Anderson, Linda & Alton Hutto, and Carole Woodruff; six grandchildren and spouses: Shanna & Brantley Mack, Clifton Woodruff, Dave & Carla Anderson, Julie & Luke Berreckman, Justin Garrett, and Brenden Garrett; six great grandchildren: Cole Mack, Luke Berreckman, Sasha Anderson, Connor Berreckman, Reid Mack, and Evan Berreckman; siblings: Doris S. Williams, Jack Sutton, Charles Sutton Sr., Bob Sutton Sr., Jan S. Rosett, Ginger S. Williamson; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father Earl Ervin (Pop) Sutton, her mother Freda Corrine (Mimi) Sutton, 3 brothers: Johnny Mack Sutton, Earl Franklin Sutton, and Jerry David (Butch) Sutton, a granddaughter Laura Jean Garrett, a son-in-law Austin Arley Garrett, and a niece Ronda Kaye S. Alassal.
Memorial donations may be given to the Monroe's Children's Home in her name.
