Sue Maddox Jones

Shreveport, LA - Memorial services for Sue Maddox Jones, age 64, will be held on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at 12:00 PM at Ellerbe Road Baptist Church in Shreveport, LA, with Pastor Dennis Sims officiating.

Sue was born in Kermit, Texas on February 23, 1950 to Jim and Jean Maddox and went to be with Jesus on Sunday, March 9, 2014, surrounded by her loved ones. She lived most of her life in Bossier City, LA and worked as a registered nurse, fulfilling her life's mission of caring for people.

Sue was preceded in death by her father, Jim Maddox, step-father, Gus Bernheim, husband, Earl Jones, and son, Bobby Joe Jones. She is survived by her mother, Jean Bernheim; one son, Clay and wife, Melissa; daughter, Jeanene Branson and husband, Travis; sister, Shelia Hamaker and husband, Randy; brother, Jimmy Maddox and wife, Sandra; granddaughters, Lauren Jones and Madison Shinn; one grandson, Adam Jones; and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express their deepest appreciation to the staff of The Oaks of Louisiana for their exceptional care of Sue during her illness, especially to Pam Cooper, Doras, Kernisha, and Jessica. Additionally, the family would like to thank Willis-Knighton Hospice, especially Lucy Grove and Pam Nell, for their faithful service to Sue during her final days.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are made to a in her honor.
