Marie Jeanne Trosclair

PRINCETON, LA - Services for Marie J. Trosclair will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 16, 2014 at Haughton United Methodist Church (215 E. McKinley Ave.) with Rev. Caroline Wilkinson officiating. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park. The family will be receiving visitors at Haughton United Methodist Church at 2:00 p.m.

Marie was born in Houma, LA on December 30, 1921 to Elias and Octavia Trosclair. She moved to the Haughton area in her teens and shared her life with twin sister AnnaLee Evans and older sister Nora Mahaffey. She attended Centenary College and was one of the founding members of Haughton United Methodist Church where she served as treasurer, UMW member, and study school teacher for many years. She was also active in the Lion's Club.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents and ten siblings. She is survived by her nieces Sandra Evans Walls, Elizabeth Evans Eagle and Rose Evans Clinger, great nieces and nephews Clint McCommon, Evan McCommon, Elizabeth Walls, Rebecca Walls and Ted Hill, great-great nieces and nephews Bryce McCommon, Taylor McCommon, Carson Hill, and Annabelle Hill.
