Irene Hanson Ketchum

Cotton Valley, LA Funeral services for Irene Hanson Ketchum will be held Thursday, April 10, 2014 at 2 p.m. at First United Pentecostal Church in Cotton Valley, Louisiana. Officiating will be Rev. Bob Rhymes and Rev. Kenneth Dehart. Interment will follow at Old Sarepta Cemetery in Sarepta, Louisiana under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden, Louisiana. The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at First United Pentecostal Church in Cotton Valley.

Irene was born December 19, 1924 in Shongaloo, Louisiana to Nello and Carrie Merritt Hanson and entered into rest April 8, 2014 in Minden, Louisiana. She was a member of First United Pentecostal Church of Cotton Valley for over 50 years.

Her parents Nello and Carrie Merritt Hanson, brothers Ed Hanson, Russell Hanson, Haskell Hanson, Vernon Hanson, Ardis Hanson and sisters Ola Cole, Hazel Johnson, and Gladys Autrey preceded her in death.

She is survived by her sons Larry Ketchum and wife Dianne of Texarkana, Texas, Ricky Ketchum and wife Sherry of Sarepta, Louisiana Rodney Ketchum and wife Tracie of Sarepta, Louisiana daughters Connie Belk and husband Gilbert, Jr. of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Annette Chanler and husband Keith of Cotton Valley, Louisiana, 9 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be grandsons and great-grandson; Tim Ketchum, Jeff Belk, Chad Ketchum, Todd Ketchum, Lance Chanler, and Merritt Griffis.
