Charles E. "Chuck" Hudson

DOYLINE, LA - Services for Charles E. "Chuck" Hudson, 86, will be 10 a.m. Saturday, April 12, 2014 at Koran Baptist Church. Officiating will be Rev. Mike Reichard, pastor of Koran Baptist Church where Chuck was a member, assisted by Rev. George Rogers, Rev. Don Cochran and Rev. Edwin Davis. Interment will follow at West Lake Cemetery, Doyline, LA. Visitation with the family will be 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Friday, April 11, 2014 at Koran Baptist Church.

Chuck was born to Hoyt L. and Estelle Austin Hudson July 26, 1927 in Coldwater, MS and passed away April 9, 2014 in Shreveport, LA. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and a retired auto sales person.

Chuck is survived by his wife of 49 years, Bobbye Hudson; son, Larry Brown and wife Carolyn and daughter, Carol Bradfield and husband Cleveland, all of Doyline, LA; sister, Charlene Bailey of Buena Vista, TN; grandchildren, Angela Herren and husband Trae', Matt Bradfield, Andy Brown and wife Courtney, Katie Brown, Elliott Brown and wife Tara and six great grandchildren.

Family members will serve as pallbearers and honorary pallbearers will be Chuck's domino buddies.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to Koran Baptist Church Building Renovation Fund or charity of donor's choice.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff in the Comfort Care Unit at Overton Brooks VA Medical Center.
