Mrs. Sammie Lee Draper Holt
God brought Mrs. Sammie Lee Draper Holt into this world on August 28, 1903, and God saw fit to take her to Glory on April 19, 2014. We celebrate 110 years that God shared her presence with us. She was born in Greenwood, LA as the seventh of thirteen children to the late Willis Draper and Ida Black. She attended Central Colored High School and later married James S. At an early age, she confessed Christ and united with the Greenwood Baptist Church #1. She loved participating in numerous activities of the Church including the Sunday School, Deaconess, Mission, and prayer ministries. She was active in several volunteer community activities and took a special interest in the National Council of Negro Women and the Centralites Club. She will always be remembered as a strong, practical, spiritual person with a friendly disposition.
