Charlene was a graduate of Naples High School. She married Alexander Campbell, Jr. on January 27, 1936 and moved to Shreveport where Alex worked for the US Post Office. Charlene and Alex were married for 61 years. She was a devoted mother, wife and homemaker. She then entered the working world to help support her children through college by starting in a Dress Shop then on to Strawn's, and eventually to Interstate Electric as an Accountant and Billing Clerk for 20 years. She and her husband were devoted members of Broadmoor Baptist Church for 76 years, where she grew in her relationship with the Lord and enjoyed singing in the choir. After retiring she travelled to many places both within the USA and Internationally. She went to such places as England, Scotland, Holland, Ireland, Hawaii, Cancun, Honduras and Grand Cayman.
Charlene lived life to the fullest and always with a positive attitude and zest. We will miss our "Spunky"!
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to Broadmoor Baptist Church Mission, or to the charity of donor's choice.
