Mary Alice Jowers Bamburg

Shreveport, LA - Mary Alice Jowers Bamburg, passed away peacefully with her husband and son by her side, Wednesday, April 30, 2014, as a result of cardiac respiratory failure. A service honoring her life will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 3, 2014, in the Sanctuary of First United Methodist Church, Shreveport, LA, where she was a member. Officiating will be Dr. Pat Day, Senior Pastor. A private graveside service will follow.

Mary was born December 30, in Coushatta, LA and was a resident of Shreveport for 58 years. Her greatest pleasure in life was spending time with her family. She also treasured her many close friends, who she thought of as sisters.

Mary was an active partner in the family business, Bamburg Properties, LLC, and was also a successful Realtor in Shreveport for over 30 years.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Clint and Flora B. Jowers; and her brothers, Clint Franklin Jowers and Charles Herman Jowers. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Donald Davis Bamburg; her son, Don Melton Bamburg, of Dallas, TX; her brother, Paul, of Houston, TX; and a number of brothers and sisters-in-laws, and nephews and nieces.
