Justin Caldwell Owen

SHREVEPORT, LA - A Celebration of life memorial for Justin Caldwell Owen, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday May 9, 2014 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 211 Atlantic Ave., Shreveport. Father Karl Daigle will officiate. Reception to follow in the Family Life Center.

Justin was born May 13, 1980 in Shreveport to Kim and Polly Owen and passed away on May 6, 2014. He was preceded in death by his mother, and grandparents, Lyles and Velda Owings. Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Ella Bridges Owen; son, Shepherd "Shep" Caldwell Owen; father, Kim Thomas Owen; grandmother, Betty Caldwell Morgan Burke; special aunt, Dana Owen; cousins, Addison, Ross and Carter D'Anna, whom he called brothers.

Justin was a 1998 graduate of C. E. Byrd High School. He received his Undergraduate and Masters in Higher Education Administration from Northwestern State University and was a member and former chapter advisor of Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity. Justin was generous and kind, but was also known for a sharp wit. He never met a stranger. He loved playing golf and cooking, but more than anything he cherished his family and friends and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

The family would like to express thanks to the Doctors, nurses and staff at Christus-Schumpert Highland hospital for all the care and support they gave.
