Born in Shreveport, LA on January 8th, 1915 to Mai and William FitzGerald, Kathleen was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, L.D. "Bud"; daughter, Kem Myers Olsen; daughter-in-law, Kay Myers; her brothers, Willie and Dick FitzGerald; and sister, Patricia FitzGerald.

She is survived by her son, Richard "Dick" Myers and wife, Carol Safran; her son, James "Jim" Myers; and son-in-law, Greg Olsen. Kathleen was a lifelong member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church and helped found the St. Paul's Day School. One of her proudest accomplishments was stepping in for her brothers, Willie and Dick, to run FitzGerald's Plumbing while they were deployed overseas during WWII. She was a founding member and treasurer of the El Mundo Syndicate for many years as well as an avid golfer, hunter, bird watcher and was always up for a game of cards, visitors and especially a party. Kathleen loved her Irish heritage: When Irish eyes are smiling, sure they steal your heart away.

The family extends a very special thanks to Dr. Joe McCulloch, Montclair Assisted Living and the wonderful women that loved and cared for her.

Pallbearers will be her nephews.

Donations may be made to St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 275 Southfield Rd, Shreveport, LA 71105.
