Leona M. Lowrie

PRINCETON, LA - Services for Leona M. Lowrie, 88, will be 11:30 a.m. Monday, June 2, 2014 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Bossier City, LA. Officiating will be Rev. Ken Basco and Rev. Larry Earhart. Interment will follow in Haughton Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 4 until 7 p.m. Sunday, June 1, 2014 at the funeral home.

Leona was born December 8, 1925 in Tippah Co., MS to A.E. and Myrtle Wallis Murley and passed away May 30, 2014 in Shreveport, LA. She was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church and a homemaker.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, William R. Lowrie; son, Terry W. Lowrie; two sisters and two brothers.

She is survived by sons, William M. Lowrie and wife, Pam of Princeton, LA, Robert W. Lowrie and wife, Bobbie of Zachary, LA; daughter-in-law, Clara Nell Lowrie; sister, Ramona Bullock; nine grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Honoring Leona as pallbearers will be Christopher Lowrie, Michael "Duke" Lowrie, Andy Lowrie, Jonathan Lowrie, Ben Young and Ernie McCoy.
