"Brother"

Shreveport, LA - Celebration of Life for Mr. George "Brother" Ansley, Jr., 75, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 26, 2014 at Hosanna Family Worship Center, 7420 St. Vincent Ave, Shreveport. Interment will follow at Crossroads Baptist Church Cemetery, Keithville, LA. Family hour will be Friday from 6 to 7 p.m. at Heavenly Gates.

George was born October 25, 1938 in Keithville, LA to the late George Ansley, Sr. and Annie Pearl Cole Ansley. He was baptized at an early age and united with Crossroads Baptist Church in Keithville, LA. He graduated from Walnut Hill School in 1957 (first graduating class). He retired from General Electric (GE) after 25 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and one son, Joseph Tyrone Ansley.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife of 55 years, Mrs. Ethel Walpool Ansley; his two children, Oscar James Ansley and Patricia Ann Ansley; one daughter-in-law, Kathleen "Patty" Lofton Ansley; seven siblings, Genece Duncan, Edna M. Taylor (Cleveland), Erma L. Lewis, Mack L. Ansley (Pearlie), Doris Andrews, Margaret Sweatt (Willard), Barbara Crutchfield (Milton); one aunt, Eddie Henderson; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
