James Delman Glasscock

SPRINGHILL, LA- James Delman "Jim" Glasscock, age 45. died Saturday, September 27, 2008 at LSU Medical Center in Shreveport, LA due to a tragic motorcycle accident.

He was born October 18, 1962 in Springhill, LA and was saved and baptized at the age of 10 at Eastside Baptist Church.

Jim was a devoted husband to Carolyn and a devoted grandfather (Pop) to Shelby and Cody. He cherished his family with all his heart and was adored by his devoted dog Rocky. He loved to ride his Harley Davidson and play video poker. He also loved watching LSU and Saints football. He was in the Oilfield business all his life and was a self-employed oilfield consultant. He loved to share his sense of humor with all his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Fred Glasscock and a brother, Greg Glasscock.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Glasscock of Springhill, LA; son, Matt Miller and wife Tammy of Springhill, LA; daughter, Tracy Miller of Richardson, TX; grandsons, Shelby Thompson and Cody Miller of Springhill, LA; mother, Martha Glasscock of Taylor, AR; brother, Richard Glasscock of Taylor, AR; sister, Jeanann Gray and husband Mark of Taylor, AR; and a host of nieces, nephews and other extended family.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 1, 2008 at Forest Grove Baptist Church in Taylor, AR with Brother Coyce Couch officiating with burial in the Springhill Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home, Stamps, AR.

Visitation will be held from 5pm-9pm Tuesday night at the church.

Pallbearers will be Jeff White, Zack White, Rodney Wise, Chris Ellerbee, Robert Whitehead and Barry Whitlock.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jackie Whitehead, Walter Knippers and James List. Smith Funeral Home
