Charles B. Snyder, II

SHREVEPORT, LA - Mr. Charles B. Snyder, II, 58, passed away on Thursday, December 31, 2009, at 6:25 p.m. at Willis-Knighton Medical Center after a lengthy illness. Visitation will be held from 5:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Monday, January 4, 2010, at Osborn Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 5th, in the chapel of Osborn Funeral Home. Officiating will be Rev. Larry Williams and Rev. Stan Horton. Entombment will follow at Forest Park Cemetery.

Charles was a native and lifelong resident of Shreveport, LA. He was a member of Broadmoor Baptist Church and Sigma Tau Gamma Fraternity. He attended LSU-BR, NSU and was a graduate of Southern Illinois University. Charles was a realtor with Coldwell Banker until his illness. He was an avid fan of the LSU Tiger's and the Houston Astros.

Charles was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, C. A. and Ruby Mitchell; fraternal grandparents, Jesse and Mary B. Snyder; and father, Charles B. Snyder, Sr.

He is survived by his mother, Melba Mitchell Snyder; sister, Jackie Wright and husband, John; brother, Ronald Snyder; niece, Lindsey Wright; nephew, Cameron Snyder.

Pallbearers will be Ronald Snyder, John Wright, Don Rogers, Roy Birdsong and Sam Reno. Honorary pallbearers will be Cameron Snyder, Ronald Mitchell, Stan Horton and Russell Stephens.

The family requests that memorials be made to the , 2620 Centenary Boulevard, Shreveport, LA 71104-3356 or to Louisiana State University Health Sciences Foundation, 1501 Kings Hwy., Box 105 Administration Bldg., Shreveport, LA 71103.
