Robert Clark "Bubba" Givens

BENTON, LA - A Celebration of Life Service will be held for Bubba on Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Central Assembly of God Chapel, Haughton, LA. The family will be receiving friends on Monday, May 10, 2010 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at Central Assembly of God Chapel. Pastor Andy Harris, Central Assembly of God will be officiating this celebration service. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park, where he will lay in the shadow of the Cross.

Bubba graduated from Airline High School in 1996. He had been employed by Kansas City Railroad as a conductor for the past twelve years. Bubba was truly a LSU and Dallas Cowboy fan.

He will be forever remembered in our hearts. He was taken from us after being involved in a fatal motorcycle accident. He lived life to the fullest and enjoyed being with friends and family. His big smile and his genuine kindness to others as a lifelong resident of Bossier Parish have touched many lives. While he may be gone from us temporarily, his memory and life will be celebrated by all who knew him until we see him again.

Bubba was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Robert Lee Gilbert and Alton C. Givens.

He is survived by the love of his life, his wife of six months, Jana Valentine Givens, his daughter, McKaila Grace Givens, parents, Bill and Suzanne West, Clark and Gaye Givens, in-laws, Jay and Donna Valentine, sister, Tonya and husband Craig Minard, brother, Darrell Givens, brother, Suraj Jagannathan, step-sister, Nicole and husband Anthony McClain, step-brothers, Billy and wife Summer West, Jeremy and wife Michelle Durdin, brother-in-law, Seth and wife Stacy Valentine, grandparents, Paula Gilbert, Welna Givens, Doshie Valentine, nieces and nephews, Dalton Witte, Lucas and Ryan Minard, Ashlynn and Alexis McClain, Will and Sophia West and numerous other family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Darrell Givens, Anthony McClain, Seth Valentine, Billy West, Jason Pate, Suraj Jagannathan and Craig Minard.

Honorary pallbearers will be his nephews, Dalton, Lucas, Ryan and Will.
