KEITHVILLE, LA - Celebration of Life services for Mr. "Sonny" C. I. Miller, 82, will be held at 10:00 a.m. in the Centuries Memorial Chapel, Monday, May 2, 2011, with Dr. Wayne Stallings of Grace Point Church of the Nazarene officiating. The family will be receiving friends for visitation Sunday, May 1, 2011, at Centuries from the hours of 4-6 p.m.

Mr. "Sonny" C.I. Miller was born December 10, 1928, in Houston, Texas to the late Francis Frank and Faye Una Carter Miller and was called to be with his Heavenly Father on April 28, 2011, in Shreveport, Louisiana. Mr. Miller was a member of Grace Point Church of the Nazarene, Shreveport, LA. Mr. Miller served his grateful nation by joining the U.S. Air Force where he proudly served his country in WWII as a B-52 Tail Gunner. Mr. Miller attended University of Houston for Engineering and retired from AFLAC following years of dedicated employment in 1998. Mr. Miller's hobby was cooking and will be remembered as a loving and devoted family man.

Mr. Miller was preceded in death by his parents. Left to cherish "Sonny's" memory and tell his stories will be his beloved wife of 60 years, Mrs. Margaret Miller; two sons, Jimmy Miller and wife Angel and their children, Dusty and Christy; Tommy Miller and wife Meshell and their children, Allen and Delaney; two daughters, Barbara Tobin and husband Mike and their children, Jesse and Jamie; and Pam Thrash and children, Pat and Joedi; one sister, Patsy Moore; nine great-grandchildren, along with numerous extended family members and many great friends.

The family would like to express a special thanks to the Guest House, Amanda Lolly and the 700 Wing Staff for the care and compassion shared with Mr. Sonny in his time of need.
