Obituary Condolences

Margaret Elizabeth Beauclair Walker

A Memorial Mass for Margaret Elizabeth Beauclair Walker, 32, will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday, December 20, 2011, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Presiding over services will be Father Karl Daigle. A reception will follow in the Church Hall.

Margaret was born May 30, 1979 in Shreveport, LA and died suddenly from a brain tumor Wednesday, December 14, 2011. She graduated from C.E. Byrd High School and from the Physical Therapy Assistant Program at Bossier Parish Community College. She was preceded in death by paternal grandparents Josef "Beau" Eric Beauclair and Susan "Susie" Jenkins Beauclair, maternal grandparents Gervais Ernest Marix and Louise Becnel Marix, beloved Great Aunt and Uncle Madelon "Madge" and Charles "PaPa" Griffith. She is survived by her husband of 7 years, Thomas Walker and daughter Susan, parents Randall and Connie Beauclair, sister Louise Dove, husband Jeff Dove and their daughter Kaci and son Zak, brother Gregory Beauclair, wife Jean and their children Miller and Edie, brother Peter, a large extended family and many close, personal friends.

Margaret's passions were family, friends and the patients she cared for at Nurse Care, DeSoto Retirement and Rehabilitation Center and Mansfield Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Her happiest times were spent watching LSU and Saints Football and spending time with her husband Tom and daughter Susie. Anyone who knew her knew her generous spirit. Margaret always enjoyed doing extra things for her patients, from making them chicken and dumplings when they were sick to buying makeup for the ladies who couldn't get to the store.

Honorary pallbearers are Greg Farrington, Jason Farrington, Christopher Walker, Michael Walker, Beau Bordelon, Tommy W. Walker and Fausto Quintanilla.

The family would like to express their sincerest gratitude to the numerous doctors and nurses especially Dr. Fagan from the DeSoto Regional Health Center and her nurses Brian, Mike, David and Joe in the Neuro ICU at LSUHSC. Their care, compassion, and patience helped the family through this unexpected tragedy.
