SHREVEPORT, LA-Funeral services for Eunice Mae McBride Cardone, 78, will be held Friday, May 25, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. Officiating will be her grandson, Craig Strong. Interment will follow in Forest Park St. Vincent. Visitation with the family will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday, May 24, 2012 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel.

Eunice was born on September 24, 1933 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Jefferson Pruitt McBride, Sr. and Sarah Simmons McBride. She passed away on May 22, 2012. She was a resident of Shreveport and retired from Arkla Gas, as a Key Punch Operator and Supervisor. She was a Christian and loved God with all her heart.

Eunice Mae McBride Cardone was preceded in death by her husband, Antonio (Tony) Cardone; her parents, Jefferson and Sara McBride; her brother, William McBride and sister, Mary Lou Arnold. She is survived by her loving siblings, Juanita Pauline Cordaro, Emma Maude Latsos, Jefferson Pruitt McBride, Jr.; six children, Susanne Marie Nectoux and husband, William, Anthony Michael Cardone, Beverly Ann Strong and husband, David, Cynthia Gail Joyner and husband, Daniel, Stephen Mark Cardone and wife, Lisa, Vincent James Cardone and wife, Ashleigh; seventeen grandchildren, Keith O'Neal, Stephanie Knox, David and Craig Strong, Tony and Nick Cardone, Gina Trussell, Stephen, Christopher, Michelle, and Katie Cardone, Crystal Joyner Taylor and Linsey Joyner, Joshua, Harrison, Benjamin, and Victoria Cardone; nine great-grandchildren.

Eunice was known as "Nanny" to many and loved by all. She provided unconditional love to her entire family and loved with all her heart. A best friend to all of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Eunice was an amazing and strong woman who raised six children with outstretched arms ready to hold and comfort at any moment. Her life was exemplified by hard work and devotion to her family

Eunice was humorous, always making those around her laugh with her quick wit and contagious laughter. Eunice never let anyone who came to her home go hungry or leave without a smile on their face. She believed in family first. Eunice was and always will be the foundation for our family. She will be missed by all.

Honoring Eunice as honorary pallbearer will be Keith Knox. Pallbearers will be Keith O'Neal, David Strong, Jr., Tony Cardone, Christopher Cardone, Craig Strong, Stephen Cardone, Nick Cardone and Harrison Cardone.

The family would like to thank the MICU staff and the 2nd floor staff at Willis-Knighton, North for the care given during her illness. Special Thanks to Dr. Morrison, Dr. Blanchard, Dr. Frank and Dr. Walton for their warmth and tenderness with our Nanny's care.
