Harold Cosier

BOSSIER CITY, LA - Memorial services for Harold Cosier, 89, will be held at 11:00 p.m. Thursday, July 5, 2012 at Morrison Heights Baptist Church, Clinton, MS. Officiating will be Dr. Charles Scrivener. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. to service time on Thursday, July 5, 2012.

Harold was born April 24, 1923 in Tacoma, WA to Edna and Harold S. Cosier.

He passed away on June 30, 2012 in Bossier City, LA. Harold proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force during World War II and up until 1968 when he retired. He later worked for Hederman Bros., Jackson, MS for several years. He later did volunteer work at his church, Morrison Heights. He loved the Lord and he loved his church, which he gladly served.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents, Edna and Harold S. Cosier, his brother, Richard Cosier, and his son, John R. Cosier. Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 60 years, Dorothy Collum Cosier; daughter Margaret C. Wolf and husband, Ed, of Benton, LA; sisters Bernice Shores of Tacoma, WA and Virginia Jones and husband Buddy of Bossier City, LA; grandchildren Jennifer Long and husband Robbie of Brandon, MS, and Kimberly Cosier and fiancé, Justin McPhail, also of Brandon; and great-grandchildren Noah and Annabelle Long; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to: Magnolia Speech School, 733 Flag Chapel Rd., Jackson, MS 39209.
