Mary Franklin Shauberger

Grand Cane, LA - Funeral services for Mary Louise Franklin Shauberger will be held at the Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Mansfield, LA at 11:00am on Saturday, August 11, 2012 with the Rev. David Permenter officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 10:00am, prior to the service. Interment will follow at the Grand Cane Cemetery. Pallbearers are: Coleby Turner, Christopher Almy, Caleb Almy, John Franklin, Cole Franklin, Michael Abington, Donnie Lynn, and Greg Graves.

Mrs. Shauberger was born on March 1, 1930 in Grand Cane, LA to Bernard A. and Corrie Lee Franklin. She entered into rest on Saturday, August 4, 2012 in Huntsville, AL, close to where she resided in Madison, AL for the last 10 years. Before starting her almost life-long career with the Louisiana Cooperative Extension Service she taught school for a few years. After her retirement Mary spent time traveling and spending time with her family.

Mrs. Shauberger was preceded in death by her husband, Mial J. Shauberger, Jr., one daughter, Rebecca L. Shauberger Turner, and one son, Gale Franklin Shauberger; she is survived by one son, Mial J. Shauberger III and wife Susan of Lawrenceburg, IN, one daughter, Sally E. Shauberger Turner and husband Steven of Madison, AL, one son-in-law, Michael Turner, three granddaughters, Monique Turner Holman, Abbey Turner Lynn, and Tori Turner, four great-grandchildren, Coleby Turner, Christopher Almy, Caleb Almy, and Camryn Joiner, one brother, William (Billy) J. Franklin and wife Ottie of Grand Cane, LA, one sister-in-law, Susie Shauberger Burchardt of Fort Worth, TX, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. The world and lives of all she touched were changed for the better for having her as part of them.

For friends who wish to offer memorials honoring Mrs. Shauberger, the family suggests the Grand Cane Cemetery Association or their favorite charity.
