Funeral services for Ada H. White, age 84, will be conducted at Rose-Neath Funeral Home on Airline Drive in Bossier City, on Saturday, November 10 at 11:30 a.m. Rev. Wayne Craig, Associate Pastor of First Baptist Church, Benton, LA will officiate. Assisting will be Rev. Todd Andrews, grandson and Associate Pastor of Calvary U.P.C. Interment will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Central Cemetery in Robeline, LA. The family will receive friends and loved ones at the funeral home Friday, November 9 from 5:00-7:00 p.m.
Mrs. White passed away in Bossier City on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 after an extended illness. Mrs. White was born in Robeline, Louisiana on December 14, 1927. She worked as an elementary school teacher for 28 years throughout Northwest Louisiana until she retired in 1985. She was an active member of First Baptist Church, Benton, LA where for years she served the Lord as an adult Sunday School Teacher. She was preceded in death by her husband David Madison White, Jr., parents Nadine and George Harris, and a sister Bernice McClendon.
Her love and memory will live on in the hearts of her children, David M. White, III and wife Connie, and Linda W. Shepherd. She is also survived by her sister Katie B. Harris Cotton and 5 grandchildren, Amy Mize and husband Mark, Todd Andrews and wife Shannon, Julie Ricketts and husband Gareth, Darden White, Clint White, 13 Great-Grandchildren and 3 Great-Great-Grandchildren. Pallbearers will be the Deacons of First Baptist Church, Benton.
