Ella Mae was born in Mozelle, MS on July 20, 1916 to Thomas and Mary Carter and passed away on November 9, 2012. She was a resident of Azalea Estates in Shreveport, a homemaker, and a member of Kingston Road Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clarence John Juneau; and five sisters and eight brothers. She is survived by her son, Donnie Juneau and wife, Gail; granddaughter, Andrea Juneau Mason and husband, Scott; grandson, Anderson Paul Juneau; great-granddaughters, Ella Camille Mason and Adelaide Olivia Mason, all of Shreveport, LA; and sister, Ruth Williams of Sarepta, LA.
Her family was very important to her. She loved being a wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a very active member of her church all her life and read the Bible daily. She loved serving others and did so often, whether it be visiting the sick, praying for those in need, or sharing her yummy cakes and cookies. She loved to cook meals for her family and made the best gumbo ever.
We very much appreciate all the staff at Azalea Estates who were so kind to her and made her years there full of fun. We especially thank her sitters, Paulette Jordan, Charlotte Cleveland, and Leola Williams, who took such good care of her daily. Thanks to her special friends, Mary Ann and Virgil English and Richard Demoss, for always lending a helping hand.
