Mr. Ray Youngblood was born in Shreveport, Louisiana on October 7, 1955 and passed away November 27, 2012 in Houston, Texas. He was placed on the cradle roll at First United Methodist Church at birth, representing six generations of membership at First United Methodist.
He attended First Baptist High School where he was a class official, elected to the most popular graduates, participated in many social activities. He attended and graduated from Northwestern State University as an Outstanding Honor Graduate with a Bachelors Degree in Liberal Arts. He participated in many social and scholarly programs.
Ray was an oil and gas producer, agriculture and tree farm owner. Ray was a member and official with the Demoiselle Club, Holiday in Dixie Cotillion Club, Royal Club, Shreveport Country Club, Ambassador Club, and Holiday in Dixie Plantation Club.
He loved his church, was a regular attendant, and served as a class official. He is survived by his brother, James Dee Youngblood III.
We thank you God, for the gift of my brother and we return him, knowing that he truly did God's work while he was here on this earth.
