BOSSIER CITY, LA - Dorothy Taylor, 80, was born June 20, 1932 in Calhoun, LA and entered into rest on December 8, 2012 in Bossier City, LA after a lengthy illness. A funeral service for Dorothy will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at Rose-Neath's Bossier Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Matthew Holloway. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Cemetery, Haughton, LA. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time on Wednesday.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest White, Sr. and Frances Kenner White and siblings, Ernest White, Jr., Gene White, Virginia Vinson and Sue Caldwell.

She is survived by her husband of almost 58 years, Robert J. Taylor; daughter, Patsy A. Woolverton and husband Roy of Tallahassee, FL; sons, Carl K. Taylor of Elm Grove, LA, Jeffrey E. Taylor and wife Pam of Bossier City, LA; grandchildren, Bobby Nichols of Bossier City, LA; Melissa Nichols Britten and husband Dennis of Natchitoches, LA; Joey Nichols and wife Rachael of Bossier City, LA; Tiffany Nichols of Natchez, LA and Shelby Taylor of Bossier City, LA; great grandchildren, Leanna Nichols and Riley Britten; sisters, Shirley Huey and husband Jack of West Monroe, LA; Wanda Amezcua and husband Bill of Upper Marlboro, MD; Nina Collins and husband Jim of Duncannon, PA; brothers, James White and wife Grace of West Monroe, LA; Joe Ray White and wife Joanne of Killeen, TX and numerous nieces and nephews.

The Taylor family would like to thank the staff of Colonial Oaks Guest Care for the loving and compassionate care given to Dorothy.
