Elizabeth Ann "Libby" Elrod

Haughton, LA - Services celebrating the life of Elizabeth Ann "Libby" Elrod, age 60, will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 19, 2012, at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel with interment to follow in the park. Reverend Gene Gipson will officiate. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 18, 2012, at the funeral home.

Libby was a member of Beulah Land Baptist Church in Haughton and loved spending her time with her only grandson, Andrew.

She is survived by her spouse, William "Bob" Elrod, daughter, Melanie Carpenter and son-in-law, Trae Carpenter and her grandson, Andrew Carpenter. Libby is also, survived by her brother, Mike Collins; sister-in-law, Patricia Collins and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial contributions be made to Grace Home, 1035 Margaret Place, Shreveport, LA 71101 or to the , 920 Pierremont Road, Shreveport, LA 71106.

The family would like to extend their appreciation to several people who were special to Libby and the Elrod family. They are Faye and Sammy Grafton, Carolyn Gibson, Gene and Kathy Gibson, Linda and Darrell Picnic, Lilly Douglas, Bruce and Debra Killion, Carol Turnage and Millie Hodge. The family also extends a "big" thank you to Dr. Dhawan, Lauren and staff with Highland Clinic Northwest Louisiana Oncology Associates.
