Angie Webb Chandler

Bossier City, LA - Angie Webb Chandler, 94, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 27, 2012, after a lengthy illness. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 31, 2012 at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel with Bro. Billy Pierce officiating. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park. Visitation will be held Sunday, December 30, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memaw was born to Albert and Eula Tilley Webb on August 6, 1918, in Bienville, Louisiana. Angie was a graduate of Ringgold High School, where she was a member of the basketball team. After working as a beautician, she worked in the billing department at Selber Brothers until her retirement in 1983. Angie was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Bossier City, where she taught young children and enjoyed attending Diamond Set. Later, she attended Central Baptist Church in Bossier City with her husband.

C.F. & Angie Webb Chandler were married on March 10, 1939, in Arcadia, LA. They enjoyed over 72 wonderful years together. During those years, they enjoyed weekly visits with family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband C.F. Chandler; her parents; five sisters, Helen, Wilma, Myrtie, Bonnie and Fern; granddaughter Paige Chandler; daughter-in-law Sherry Chandler.

Angie is survived by sons Dale Chandler, Wade Chandler and wife Felicia of Bossier City, LA; grandchildren Lauren, Natalie, Brooke, and Eric Chandler; great-grandchildren Peyton, Brandon, and Jaden Chandler; brothers J.B. Webb, Ralph Webb, Roy Webb and wife Colleen; brother-in-laws Otho and wife Mary, Charles and wife Shirley; sister-in-laws Joyce Tawwatters, Loda and husband Elgy Meeks.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the doctors and nurses at Garden Court Nursing Center and Amedisys Hospice for their care and compassion.
