Nell J. "Mimi" Morris

Shreveport, LA - Mrs. Nell J. "Mimi" Morris, 87, passed away on Thursday, January 24, 2013, at Montclair Park Assisted Living in Shreveport. Memorial service will be held on her birthday beginning at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 26, 2013, in the Chapel of Osborn Funeral Home. Officiating will be Warren Clifton, Associate Pastor of Grace Community Church.

Mrs. Morris was born in Marshall, TX on January 26, 1925, to Edward Curtis and Josephine Bell. She was a southern lady who loved her family, was a wonderful cook and always opened her home to others.

Mrs. Morris was preceded in death by her husband, William R. Morris, parents; two sisters, Elizabeth Hartsell and Inez Blackburn; and three brothers, Woodrow, William Joseph and Wilbur Bell. She is survived by her children, Diane Steen, of Shreveport, Nell Kelley, of LaQuinta, CA, and Nancy Walsh and husband, David, of Plano, TX; grandchildren, Dare Johnson, Amy Legate, William Johnson, Brad Kelley, Kim Sullivan, Jim Ray Sawyer, Scott Sawyer and Michael Walsh; great grandchildren, Audrey Legate, Josephine Legate, Kailey Walsh, Madeline Walsh, Dylan Walsh, Maverick Risinger, Sam Johnson, Sarah Eliot Johnson, Kayla Johnson, Emily Johnson, Grace Johnson, James Ray Sawyer III, and John Sawyer; two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Rae Morris, of Longview and Earlene Bell, of Waco, TX; and a host of nieces and nephews, who will all cherish her memory.
