Smith, Jr.

Mansfield, LA - Funeral Service honoring the life of Robert "Buddy" L. Smith, Jr. will be held Thursday, January 31, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Mansfield, LA with Reverend Larry Simpson officiating. Burial will follow in Slone Cemetery in Mansfield, LA. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 30, 2012 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Mansfield, LA from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM.

Robert "Buddy" L. Smith Jr. was born on December 22, 1929 in Mansfield, LA and passed away on January 27, 2013 in Mansfield, LA. Buddy was best known as the man who could fix anything as owner/ operator of Specialized Service Company for 50 years. He proudly served his county in the United States Air Force. He was a member of Carmel Baptist Church in Carmel, LA. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Louise Oldham Smith; parents, Robert, Sr. and Flora Smith; half-sisters, Mary Smith Hamilton and Frankie Lee Horton; half-brother, Rex Horton; and great grandchild, Ariella Annabelle Juliette Smith.

He is survived by his sons, Robert A. Smith, Jeffery O. Smith and wife, Jeanne, John A. Smith and wife, Renee, and Matthew L. Smith; daughter, Sherry Smith Lewis and husband, Ardis; grandchildren, Patrick D. Lewis and wife, Courtney, Christy R. Lewis, Joshua D. Smith, Julianne E. Smith, John D. Smith, Joshua M. Smith, Ashley N. Smith, and Austin L. Smith; great grandchildren, Madison E. Lewis, Victoria G. Lewis, and Bryson C. Lewis.

Honoring Buddy as pallbearers will be Robert A. Smith, Jeffery Smith, John Smith, Matthew Smith, Patrick Lewis, Joshua D. Smith, Joshua M. Smith, and John D. Smith.

The family is making a life book for Mr. Buddy any memories of him would be greatly appreciated. Memories may be emailed to rlsjrcapital@gmail.com.
