SHONGALOO, LA - Funeral services for Mr. Thomas Harold Dean, age 66, will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, February 23, 2013, in Mt. Paran Baptist Church, Shongaloo, LA with Bro. Ronny Whitlock officiating and Bro. Jason Lupo assisting. Interment will follow in Old Shongaloo Cemetery, Shongaloo, LA under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Springhill, Louisiana.

Visitation will begin Friday, February 22, 2013 at 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Bailey Funeral

Mr. Dean was born September 11, 1946 to M.D. and Edith Rayborn Dean in Springhill, LA and passed away on Monday, February 18, 2013 in Haynesville, LA He was a member of Mt. Paran Baptist Church, Shongaloo, LA, was a US Army Veteran, serving during the Vietnam War and was retired from International Paper after 24 years of services. Mr. Dean's favorite things to do was to ride horses, hunting, riding four-wheelers and hanging out at the store.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Patricia Wallace Dean; son, Jeff Dean and wife, Barbra of Shongaloo, LA; daughter, Susan Wellman and husband, Ryan of Dayton, OH; two granddaughters, MaKayla Dean of Shongaloo, LA, Sophia Wellman of Dayton, OH; grandson, J.T. Dean of Shongaloo, LA; brother, Paul Dean and wife, Becky of Shongaloo, LA; sister, Ann Robinson and husband, Tim of Umatilla, OR and a host of nieces and nephews.

Mr. Dean was preceded in death by his parents.

Serving as pallbearers will be Ronnie Lennard, William Strange, Kerry Johnston, Clarence Graham, Marshall Modisette and Gary Sexton.
