Michael Allen Jones

Today, February 19, 2013 I finished my journey on this earth. Now it's time to start my journey in Heaven. I was guided into my heavenly home by my Lord, my dad Chester Jones, my mom Donna Adair Jones, my sister Terry Lindsey Jones and many family members before me.

My journey started May 2, 1954 in Shreveport, Louisiana. Growing up with my sisters Kathy Jones of Pearl, Mississippi; and Tracy Kimbel of Jacksonville, Florida. I was nurtured by my stepmother Robertine Jones of Benton, Louisiana. My journey continued to Corpus Christi, Texas where I married and had two sons, Stacy and Steven Jones. Moving to Minden, Louisiana in the late 1980's I worked for Webster Parish school board as a mechanic and bus driver then later for Yellow Checker Cab Company. While I made my home in Minden for more than 20 years, I was blessed with a brother David Jones of Benton, Louisiana.

Seven years ago my journey brought me back to Texas to be near my Aunt Sandra Adair of League City, Texas; my cousin Deborah Rainey, her husband Michael Rainey and their children Justin (Bubba), Kaitlin (baby girl) and Cameron (whistle britches) of Texas City, Texas. Here I made many special memories such as the family breakfasts at Kelly's with Uncle David Adair of Boulder, Colorado; Uncle ChipMcConnell of San Antonio, Texas; Aunt Patti Birdwell Gage of Texas City, Texas along with many cousins to celebrate the life and memories of Uncle Robert Adair. I worked for CCISD transportation for several years where I found my passion working with people with special needs. These callings lead me to the Atlantis Foundation where I formed another special family and was known affectionately as Mr. Mike.

Five months ago, though my work with the special needs was unfinished, I started the final chapter of my wonderful journey here on earth surrounded by my loving family and friends, but in the end I had to go home. I will always cherish the love I received as I prepare you a home just as one was prepared for me. I will see ya'llin Heaven soon!

Love Always,

Mike
