Warren Leighton Wright

Shreveport, LA- On Wednesday, April 10, 2013, after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease, Warren passed away peacefully in God's presence, at Heritage Manor-Stratmore. Visitation will be held from 4:00 until 5:30 p.m. on Friday, April 12, at Osborn Funeral Home. Graveside services will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 13, at Forest Park Cemetery, St. Vincent Ave. Officiating will be Father Karl Daigle of St. Joseph Catholic Church and Father James McLelland of St. Clement Parish.

Mr. Wright was a native of Houston, TX and a resident of Shreveport, LA for sixty years. He was a devout member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He graduated C. E. Byrd High School in 1957 and attended Texas A&M and Centenary College. He worked for Western Electric Co. for forty years as an Engineered Draftsman.

For many years he enjoyed restoring antique cars and later concentrated on mustangs. He especially loved his daily walks with his beloved dog "Sterling". Above all Warren was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed and always remembered.

Mr. Wright was preceded in death by his parents, Joe C. Wright and Elise Ligarde Wright; sister, Idabelle Vines; and his brother, Joe C. Wright, Jr. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Margaret "Ann" Wright; daughters, Lynn Bond and husband, Jack Bond, Jr. and Stacy Long; and grandchildren, Hannah Bond, Leighton Bond and Zackery Long.

Pallbearers will be Jack Bond, Jr., Leighton Bond, Lance Graham and Jack Borgman.

Honorary pallbearers will be Henry Graham, Jerry Wogstad and John Earl Krumbholz.

The family would like to express their appreciation for the many years of compassionate care they received at Heritage Manor-Stratmore, Shreveport/Bossier Hospice and Dr. Hernandez and Laura Perkins.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to the Alzheimer's Agency of Shreveport/Bossier, P.O. Box 4038, Shreveport, LA 71134-0911.
