Diana Raley Pittman

Shreveport, LA- A memorial service celebrating the life of Diana Raley Pittman, 66, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 17, 2013, in the Sanctuary of St. Mary of the Pines Catholic Church. Officiating will be Fr. Francis Kamau.

Diana was born on April 3, 1947 in Los Angeles, CA and passed away on May 13, 2013 in Shreveport, LA. She was a very loving, devoted and caring wife, mother and friend. Mrs. Pittman was a friend to all she knew. Diana loved people and animals. She was a former member of St. Catherine of Sienna Catholic Church and a current member of St. Mary of the Pines Catholic Church. Mrs. Pittman retired from the Caddo Parish School Board where she worked as a secretary in the Special Education department. Diana and her friends Louise Rider and Pat Brown shared many fond moments and made many great memories together in their "Birthday Club" group. Mrs. Pittman loved her bosses, Rosalee Ewing and Dr. Diana Sino. Diana will always be remembered for her loving and friendly nature.

Preceding Mrs. Pittman in death was her mother, Juanita Faye Raley.

Left to cherish beautiful memories of Diana is her husband of 45 years, Gary L. Pittman of Shreveport, LA; one son, Brett Pittman of Shreveport, LA; her father, Earl Lawrence Raley, Sr. and wife Frances Pender Raley of Shreveport, LA; brothers, Earl Lawrence Raley, Jr. and wife Teresa of Shreveport, LA and Frank Jeffrey Raley and wife Teresa of Bossier City, LA; and sister in law, Karen Edington and husband Billy of Shreveport, LA.

The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Dr. Fitzgerald for being such a caring physician. The family also wishes to thank the nursing staff of Willis Knighton-South (3-West) for all the care and compassion shown to Mrs. Pittman.
