Rosalie Martin Dunn

GREENWOOD, LA- Funeral services celebrating the life of Rosalie Martin Dunn, 96, will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 6, 2013 at Open Range Fellowship Church in Greenwood. Rev. Dennis Aaron will officiate. Interment will follow in Forest Park St. Vincent Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Thursday, September 5, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel.

Rosalie was born on July 28, 1917 in Belzoni, MS to John and Anna Cuendet Martin. She passed away on September 3, 2013 in Shreveport. She was a resident and a homemaker of Greenwood. She graduated from Byrd High School and was a charter member of Trinity Presbyterian Church. She taught children's Sunday school and was active in women's ministry since the 1950's. At age 92, she taught Revelation to the Women's Circle Group at John Calvin Presbyterian Church where she was a member. Mama spent her 96th birthday this past July in Santa Rosa Beach, FL with family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jack Raymond Dunn; son, Jack Dunn, Jr.; sisters, Anna Dillingham, Adelle Loper, Gladys Panizoni; half-sister, Mary Martin; brothers, Kit Martin, Paul Martin; half-brother, Leo Martin, George Martin, son-in-law, Melvin Ogburn. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Nancy Chandler and husband, Rodney; daughters-in-law, Imelda Dunn and Ruth Fontenot; grandchildren, Tammy Baxter, Festus Dunn, Joe Dunn and Barbara Smith; numerous step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sister, Cornelia Edmonson.

She will be missed especially by her grand-dog, Nina who checked on her every afternoon. She had a full life and was ready to go be with her Heavenly family.
