Funeral services will be held for Malcom Brown, 88, at the Summerfield Baptist Church on Sunday November 3, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Kenneth Nutt and Bro. B.F. Middleton officiating. Interment will follow at Summerfield Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday November 2, 2013 from 4:00p.m to 6:00p.m.



Mr. Brown was born June 24, 1925 in Summerfield to Herman and Verna Brown. He entered into rest Thursday October 31, 2013 at his home. He served in the Navy during WWII. Mr. Brown was a member of the Summerfield Baptist Church.



Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his brother Byron Brown.



He is survived by his wife Edna Andrews Brown of Summerfield, son, Skipper Brown and wife Jane C. of Summerfield, daughter, Gayle Singletary and husband Tom of West Monroe, brother Leonard Brown of Homer, four grandchildren Todd Singletary, Chrisanna Brown Saums, Jan Singletary Tooke and Averie Brown Brown and seven great-grandchildren.



Pallbearers will be Todd Singletary, Robert Saums, Landon Tooke, Adam Brown, Jerry Andrews and Ken Copeland.
