Bobby Speight

KEITHVILLE, LA- Funeral services for Bobby Speight, 80, will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, November 14, 2013 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Billy Sutton and Rev. Donald Bush. Interment will follow in Little Flock Church Cemetery in Sabine Parish near Many at 1:00 p.m. Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at the funeral home.

Bobby was born on January 28, 1933 to Fred and Sadie Speight and passed away on November 11, 2013. He was a resident of Keithville for 43 years. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force for 4 years during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Redeemer Community Church, the Sunset Masonic Lodge, Eastern Star, Scottish Rite, El Karubah Shrine and the American Legion.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Monita Speight; son, John Speight; stepbrother, James Sowell; sisters-in-law, Jean Speight and Evon Bush; brother-in-law, Gordon Anthony and Roy Waters; very special family friends, Don and Vernelle Henry and family.

Bobby was preceded in death by his daughter, Terri Kris; parents, grandparents, sister, Freddie Anthony; brother, Milton Speight and stepmother, Mae Sowell Speight.

Pallbearers will be David Anthony, Darryl Anthony, Blake Langton, John Kindell, Harry Ferguson and Ray Bush.

The family wishes to express their gratitude to caregivers, Rachella Kirkwood, Loma Lafayette and Renea Bridge, St. Joseph Hospice and to our church family for their many kind deeds.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the , Parkinson Foundation, or the Shriners Hospital for Children.
