David Frank Green, III

David Frank Green III (59) left this life and entered into his promised eternal life on Easter Sunday, April 20, 2014 in Birmingham, Alabama.

David was the devoted and loving husband to Janna Tew and father to Erin Green Lambert and her husband, Christopher of Birmingham, Alabama, and Elizabeth Hope Green, of Atlanta, Georgia and was preceded in death by his daughter, Meagan Elizabeth. He is the eldest son of David Frank Green Jr. and Ann Hutchinson Green of Shreveport, Louisiana. He leaves one sister, Cynthia Green Davis of Zachary, Louisiana and one brother, Scott Hutchinson Green of Shreveport. David was the big brother-in-law to four loving brothers and four loving sisters.

David was a 1973 graduate of Jesuit High School, Shreveport. He graduated from Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge where he was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity. David was an insurance executive and received his Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter designation in 1991 and his Associate in Risk Management in 1994.

In 1993, David and Janna moved to Montgomery, Alabama where he later established Premiere Agency Network and served as President.

David was a member of Taylor Road Baptist Church, Montgomery, Alabama where he had served as a deacon and in various church roles. He also served as the Class Secretary for the Bible Study Fellowship Evening Men's Class in Montgomery.

David enjoyed golf, traveling, LSU sports and spending time with his friends and family. His greatest joy was the time he spent with his beloved wife. He was overjoyed to be welcoming his first grandchild this July.

David was unforgettable for all those who knew him and desired to inspire others with his faith in God, his generous heart and love for others.

The family will be receiving visitors on Wednesday, April 23rd from 4-6 pm at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, Marshall Street, Shreveport. On Thursday, April 24th, David will have a private burial at Forest Park Cemetery, Shreveport followed at 11 am by a Celebration of Life Service at First United Methodist Church, Shreveport. Officiating will be Dr. Carl Rhoads.

Honoring David as pallbearers will be Mike Jones, Luke Laborde, Christopher Lambert, Bryan Tew, Chris Tew and Clyde Tew.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in his memory to an organization close to his heart: Bible Study Fellowship, 19001 Huebner Road, San Antonio, TX USA 78258-4019.
