The Final Salute
“Brothers in Arms”, Military men and women down through the centuries, have traditionally exchanged “Hand Salutes” as a sign of recognition and as a way to render courtesy and respect one to another.
This “Hand Salute” is the last that we shall render to Sam Antony Gregorio our Brother in Arms, Fellow Legionnaire and VFW Comrade. To his family it symbolizes the love and respect that we have for Sam. And to Sam it is rendered as a symbol of honor and gratitude to thank him for the devoted and selfless service he rendered to his country during WW-II while serving in the U.S Army and for his many years of dedicated service to the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Sam, you were a dedicated worker, a wonderful comrade and a strong supporter of the American Legion and the VFW. We bid you adieu and a sad farewell. You will be dearly missed from among our ranks. Be at Ease. Rest in Peace.
On behalf of the 1,261 Legionnaires of Lowe-McFarlane Post 14 of the American Legion and the of VFW Post 2238, we extend our sympathies and our condolences to Sam's family and loved ones.

When I was 15 years old, Mr. Sam was the first boss that I ever had and he was so nice to work for. I can here him now saying. " get on the ball Gary, I'm paying you by the hour, not the job " I would drive his big 1972 Mercury Marquis to the car was and before I backed out of the driveway he would yell " if you wreck my car don't come back. He sounded like he was going to bite your head off but you could see in his eyes that he had a huge heart. I guess I'm saying that I was crazy about him. Mr.Sam, thank you for the memoirs and to this day , thanks to you , I can sweep and mop a floor and put up Groceries better than anyone on this planet. RIP. GaryHunter.
