Elder Dotson Obituary
Elder Stephanie Nicole Dotson was born October 6, 1971. Stephanie was a native of Shreveport, La., a Gospel Recording artist, and a true praise and worship leader. She was a member of Praise Temple Shreveport. Stephanie transitioned from earth to glory Monday, February 23, 2015. She leaves her sister Nikisha Dotson Smith (Alejandro), two nephews, numerous relatives, and her church family to cherish her memory.
Family hour Friday, February 27, 2015 at 7 p.m. Celebration of Life will be Saturday, February 28, 2015 at 12 noon. All services will be held at Praise Temple Full Gospel Church, Bishop L. Lawrence Brandon presiding. Interment will be at Light Hill Cemtery.

The many years of knowing Stephanie were great ones. We've laughed and cried together and shared some great moments. I have always admired her anointing. Stephanie could usher people into the presence of God with no effort. Our lives won't be the same with out your physical presence. I am still in shock that you are gone. But to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. You were a beautiful person inside and outside. You truly lived the life that you sang. You made others want to know your GOD and his goodness and mercies that you sang and talked about each and every day. I will miss calling Praise Temple and hearing your voice answer the phone. You would always say, "Hey mother, how are you doing?" No matter what name you were called be it sis, daughter, auntie, cousin, Stephanie, best friend/sister, friend, recording artist, Elder, Pastor, Diva, Queen, or the Voice, you never changed. You stayed humble and submissive unto GOD and your leadership. Your love for GOD was for real, your worship was for real, your praise was for real, your prayers was for real, your preaching and singing was for real, your love for GOD'S people was for real. I now truly know the meaning of the song the Saints don't die, but they just sleep away. I will miss your prayers and words of encouragement, for in my time of need you were only a phone call away. A true intercessor, worshipper, prayer warrior and an anointed Woman of GOD. My heartfelt prayers and condolences go out to your family, church family, and friends. I will summarize something that she wrote in my own words. Although she has transitioned home to be with the LORD don't be saddened or depressed although it is natural as humans, but in the Spiritual, speak life back in to ourselves as she would've done at this time. In Pastor Dotson's words, " The Joy of the Lord is my strength!!! Hey glory!"
