Gregory Schelling Obituary
STONEWALL, LA - Gregory Paul Schelling, 66, of Stonewall, LA passed away on Saturday, August 5, 2017, from a sudden illness. He was the son of the late Harold and Marilee Schelling. He was born in Michigan City, Indiana, but grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He is also preceded in death by his father in law, Richard Albrecht Sr.; and niece, Melissa Albrecht.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Gisele Schelling; brother, Garry Schelling; daughter, Yvonne Davlin and husband Brian; son, Randy Schelling and wife Kerri; granddaughters, Lauren and Regan Davlin; great grandson, Eli Williams; mother in law, Josophene Albrecht; brother in law, Richard Albrecht Jr. and wife Shelly; niece, Sheryl Albrecht Jones; great nephew, Wyatt Jones; nephew, Brian Albrecht and wife Lindsey; and great niece, Adelyn Albrecht.
Greg had a love for many things, his prize possession was his Harley Davidson Motor Cycle, NASCAR, Wrestling, LSU Football, Trips to Colorado just him and his wife. He especially loved his family. He had a love for his granddaughters that was so very special they were his Honey and Hambone. He also loved going to the shooting range with son, Randy. He loved his grand dog, Grace.
Greg worked most of his career in the fuel industry, at the time of his death he worked for Racetrack Petroleum as a Service Technician.
Services will be at Centuries Memorial, 8801 Mansfield Rd., Shreveport, LA. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 8th, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Services will be Wednesday, August 9th at 10:00 a.m. Officiating the service will be Brother Joel May.
Pallbearers will be Brian Albrecht, Jimmy Davlin, Aaron Nugent, Tommy Webb, Wesley Beshea, and Joseph Brown.
Honorary pallbearers are Joe Jones, Brian Davlin, Randy Schelling, and Richard Albrecht.
The family would like to give a very special thank you to the following, we will be forever grateful for your loving care to our father and family. Dr. Boniol and assistant Kate, Dr. Paul Davis and assistant Amanda, and the loving staff of the MICU Nurses and Staff at LSU.

I met Mr. Greg about 3 years ago through our work. I am a state inspector and I cover several of the Raceway stations that he was responsible for. The news of his passing shocked me when I found out yesterday. I will definitely miss seeing him around and calling on him about needed repairs on gas pumps. Sorry for your family's loss.

I can see Greg riding his motorcycle in the mountains of Colorado, the cool air caressing his face....He was a beautiful soul and an excellent father & husband to my best friend, Jill.
