VALDOSTA, Ga. — Ronald "Ron" Linn Clawson, 53, of Valdosta, Georgia, and formerly of Sidney, Ohio, went to be with the Lord on June 5, 2014.
Ron was born May 19, 1961, in Troy, Ohio, the second son of Arlen (Buck) and Beverly Clawson, who survive along with his two brothers, Tim (Gisela) Clawson, of Suisun, California, and Sam (Nancy) Clawson, of Phoenix, Arizona, along with nieces and nephews.
Ron was a graduate of Fairlawn High School of Shelby County in 1980. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force.
Ron loves the Lord and did his best to tell others about Jesus Christ. He was God's instrument in bringing his brother, Sam, to the saving grace of Jesus.
For those Ron treated in a way not worthy of Christ we ask that you forgive him. For those who Ron blessed in this life, give glory to Jesus Christ our Lord. He will be missed by those who knew him best. He was a world traveler and loved to laugh. He enjoyed nature, camping, fishing and auto racing; he was a jack of all trades.
He spent his last few months in Valdosta, Georgia, in the late stages of lymphoma. His awesome parents and the great Hospital Staff at the South Georgia Medical Center and its Chaplain along with the wonderful Christian family of Ousley Baptist Church were there to comfort him in his final days.
In agreement with Ron's final wishes, his body has been donated to science through sciencecare.com and his ashes will be sprinkled over his favorite fishing hole. There will be a memorial service held by his family at a later date.
Ron knew he was a flawed sinful man, but being led by the Spirit his final words in this life are a few bible verses. John 8:31:32 Jesus says, "If you continue in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; and you will know the truth and the truth will make you free." 2 Timothy 4:7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith. Put your faith in the Lord Jesus, He is the Way, the Truth and the Life.
Goodbye for now Ron, we love you and look forward to seeing you in heaven.
