Klopfenstein, Iva - Sidney  
SIDNEY — Iva J. Klopfenstein, 97, of Sidney, passed away at 9:34 a.m. on Wednesday, June 22, 2016, at Elmwood Assisted Living of New Bremen. She was born on Jan. 27, 1919, in Wapakoneta, Ohio, the daughter of the late George and Anna (Hoffman) Klopfenstein. Iva is survived by many nieces, nephews, many special cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her three sisters, Helen Ritchie, Norma Starrett and Ruth Mann, two brothers, Roy and Homer Klopfenstein. Ms. Klopfenstein was a floral designer and together with her sister Norma, owned and operated Ehrhardt's Flower Shop Inc. in Sidney for many years. She was a faithful member of St. John's Lutheran Church and enjoyed volunteer work in the St. John's Thrift Shop and Altar Guild. Iva was also a loyal volunteer with Wilson Healthcare Auxiliary. Honoring Iva's wishes, there will be no public visitation and her body will be cremated. A public graveside service will be held Tuesday, June 28, 2016, at 10 a.m. at Cedar Point Cemetery with the Rev. Jonathan W. Schriber officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church 120 W. Water St., Sidney, OH 45365. Arrangements are in the care of Cromes Funeral Home 302 S. Main Ave., Sidney. Leffler, Vanessa - Sidney  
SIDNEY — Vanessa Jo Leffler, age 27, of Sidney, went home to be with her Lord on Friday, June 24, 2016, at her residence. She was born on April 20, 1989 in Sidney to Michael and Jackie (Foltz) Leffler, of Sidney. In addition to her parents, Vannessa is survived by one son, Triston Tingley, of Sidney; one brother, Brandon Leffler, of Sidney; one sister, Nikki Leffler, of Sidney; grandmother, Glendora Leffler, of Shelbyville, Indiana; nieces, Caylee Wedding, Paetyn Leffler, Brynleigh Leffler and Everlee Leffler; nephew, Caleb Leffler; and many aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by two aunts, Marna Johns and Tina Stoklin; and her best friend, John White. Vannessa was a 2008 graduate of Fairlawn High School. She was a member of First Church of the Nazarene in Sidney. Vannessa was a server at Fricker's in Sidney. She loved the outdoors, going mudding and spending time with family and friends. Service will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 28, 2016, at Adams Funeral Home in Sidney with Pastor Chad Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery in Sidney. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Vannessa's Go FundMe account. LeMaster, Maria - Cincinnati  
CINCINNATI — Maria Nicole LeMaster, 29, of Cincinnati, formerly of Sidney, passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2016, at her residence. She was born on Oct. 10, 1986, in Piqua, Ohio, the daughter of Kenneth and Mary (Anello) LeMaster, of Sidney. In addition to her parents, Maria is survived by five siblings, Michael (Jamie) LeMaster, Kenna (Andy) Chavez, Lesly (Jesse) Ralston, T.J. (Jennie) LeMaster, all of Sidney, and Jessica LeMaster, of Kettering; maternal grandfather, George Anello, of Dayton; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins, one great-nephew, two great-nieces, and special friend, Eli. She was preceded in death by maternal grandmother, Maria Anello, and paternal grandparents, Herbert and Revella LeMaster. Maria was a lifelong member of Holy Angels Catholic Church and a 2005 honors graduate of Lehman High School, where she was a member of the National Honor Society, excelled on the soccer and fast pitch softball teams and was a member of the Lehman Limelighters Show Choir. After graduating she followed her passion of music and attained her Bachelor's Degree from the University of Cincinnati Conservatory of Music. Maria worked for the Cincinnati Art Museum and The Southgate House Revival in Newport, Kentucky. She kept her love for music alive by performing with several bands in Cincinnati. Maria enjoyed cooking, writing, playing and producing music, and spending time with her friends and family. She was an angel to everyone who came to know her, and she will be greatly missed by many. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, June 27, 2016, at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Angels Catholic Church with the Rev. Frank Amberger officiating. Burial will follow at Shelby Memory Gardens in Sidney. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. and on Monday from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. at Cromes Funeral Home, 302 S. Main Ave., Sidney. Memorials may be made to Shelby County Animal Rescue Foundation (SCARF) in memory of Maria Nicole LeMaster. Liston, Judy - Jackson Center  
JACKSON CENTER — Judy K. Liston, 62, of Jackson Center, passed away Wednesday at 7:47 a.m., June 29, 2016, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Bellefontaine on April 26, 1954, to the late Charles Joseph and Alice "Irene" Pash Liston. Judy was also preceded in death by a brother. Charles "Joe" Liston II. and nephew. Jody Michael Liston. A 1972 graduate of Indian Lake High School, Judy was a licensed beautician and cut hair for many years. She later went to work at Honda of America, and retired in 2009 after 26 years of service. Judy retired a second time in 2015 after serving as Postmistress at the Pemberton Post Office. She loved to watch movies, read books and was a member of the Jackson Center Library Book Club. Judy was a wonderful mother and grandmother; she dedicated her life to her family and always put them first. Judy is survived by her children, D.J. (April) Wischmeyer, of Cincinnati, Amanda L. (Jonathan Tuttle) Wischmeyer, of Bluffton, and Adam J. Wischmeyer, of Huntsville; five grandchildren, Emma Mackay Tuttle, Jay Elliott Tuttle, Cooper Liston Tuttle, Zoey Lynn Wischmeyer and Kaylee Alice Wischmeyer; two sisters, Suzanne (Steve) Morris, of Lakeview, and Cindy Lou (David) Herndon, of Jackson Center; a sister-in-law, Barbara Liston, of Piqua; nieces and nephews, Jack Lee Ray, Tammy Lynn Stanford, Scott Brian Ray, Benjamin Herndon, Travis Herndon and Charles Joseph Liston III; and many great-nieces and great-nephews. A celebration of Judy's life will be held on Sunday, July 3, 2016, at 2 p.m. at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, Jackson Center, where visitation will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Burial will follow in Huntsville Cemetery. McGowan, Luella - Fort Loramie  
FORT LORAMIE — Luella "Tude" (Romie) McGowan, age 92, of Elm Street, Fort Loramie, passed away of natural causes early Monday morning, June 20, 2016, at the Heritage Manor Nursing Center in Minster, Ohio. She was born April 10, 1924, in Fort Loramie, Ohio, to the late Martin and Clarabelle (Barga) Romie. On Nov. 13, 1948, at St. Michael Catholic Church in Fort Loramie, Luella married James Patrick McGowan who preceded her in death on Dec. 23, 2014. Surviving are seven children, Terry and Dan Schoch, of Minster, Pat and Janice McGowan, of Newport, Dennis and Patti McGowan, of Minster, Mike and Paula McGowan, of Minster, Jim and Angie McGowan, of Fort Loramie, Kathy and John Amos, of Sidney, and John and Shari McGowan, of Fort Loramie; 21 grandchildren, Phil, Andy, Brian, Kevin, Chris, Joe, Jessica, Michael, David, Claire, Bridget, Pierce, Stephanie, Matt, James, Nathan, Jeremy, Jake, Alison, Erin, Marcus and 19 great-grandchildren; one sister, Helen Council, of Greenville and a sister-in-law, Marlene Romie, of Fort Wayne, Indiana. She was preceded in death by eight siblings, Evelyn and John Siegel, Mildred and Howie Coble, Harold and Ann, Lillian, Oscar and Julie, Robert, Roger and Norbert Romie. Luella was a 1942 graduate of Fort Loramie High School. She retired from the U.S. Post Office, Fort Loramie branch, in 1987 and had been Postmaster since 1976. She began working intermittently at the post office in 1942. Luella had always been a dedicated homemaker. She was a lifetime member of St. Michael Catholic Church and had been an Apostleship of Prayer Promoter. Many years ago Luella played the accordion with her family's Romie Orchestra. Luella enjoyed collecting stamps and pencil sharpeners. She also cherished interacting with her family and grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 24, 2016, at St. Michael Church in Fort Loramie with the Rev. John W. Tonkin presiding. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday 3 to 8 p.m. and Friday 9 to 10 a.m. at Gehret Funeral Home in Fort Loramie. Meyer, Audrey - Minster  
MINSTER — Audrey A. Meyer, 93, of Minster, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2016. She was born on Dec. 5, 1922, in Minster, Ohio, to Frank and Isabel (Ortman) Frierott. She was a lifelong resident of Minster and lifelong member of St. Augustine Parish. She was a 1940 graduate of Minster High School. On June 19, 1947 she married Paul H. Meyer in Minster, Ohio. He passed away April 2, 2004. Surviving are two sons, Doug (Sue) Meyer, of Centerville, and Dale Meyer, of Minster; and a daughter, Paula (Mark) Brunn, of Mansfield. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Ellen Meyer, Emily Meyer, Elizabeth (Dan) Wanders, Carolyn (Andrew) Young, Megan Brunn, Jason Brunn; and one great-grandson, Caleb Young. Also surviving is a sister, Eunice Piening, of Minster. She was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Don Piening, of Minster, a sister and brother-in-law, Joann and Dale Macke, of St. Marys, and a niece, Cheryl (Macke) Cheslock, of St. Marys. Audrey was a homemaker her entire life and always enjoyed spending time with her family. She lived on the home farm in Minster for all but 10 months of her life. She had many interests which included golf at Arrowhead Park which opened in 1967, tennis in Minster and at Orchard Hill in Lima, card playing in a group of nine Minster couples who did many things together over a 60 year time period, bridge club with a group of ladies, traveling, especially to Europe and Hawaii, and, last but not least, hosting and attending many parties. She just loved to socialize with both Minster folks and those from neighboring towns. Philanthropically, she was a supporter of the Minster High School Scholarship Fund, the Arrowhead Park Golf Club, the Oktoberfest celebration and the St. Marys Hospital Memorial Foundation. A Mass of Christian burial will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 6, 2016, at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Minster with the Rev. Rick Nieberding celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Augustine Cemetery, Minster. Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 5, 2016, and from 9 to 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 6, 2016. Mohr, Esther - Degraff  
DEGRAFF — Esther M. Mohr, 94, long-time resident of DeGraff, passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2016, at The Inn of Green Hills Care Center, West Liberty. She was born in Logan County, Ohio, on July 13, 1921, the daughter of the late Lynn Ollington and Lena H. (Taylor) Hinkle. She is also preceded in death by her husband, William C. Mohr, who passed away Feb. 3, 1982, and a brother, Taylor Hinkle. She is survived by her daughter, Cheri Wilson and grandson, Blake Wilson, both of Beavercreek. Esther was a long-time member of the DeGraff United Methodist Church and was a 1939 graduate of DeGraff High School. She worked serving the public for many years, with her husband at the People's Building & Loan Company in DeGraff. Later on, she went to work for Huber Buchenroth's and Peck's Jewelers. She belonged to the Ohio Chapter of Eastern Star and played in several bridge clubs. She was an antique dealer specializing in French Haviland china and Florence figurines. Pastor Kym James will officiate a graveside service at 2 p.m. on Friday, June 24, 2016, in the Greenwood-Union Cemetery, DeGraff. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice. Prange, James - Troy  
TROY — James Frederick "Fred" Prange, age 75, of Troy, passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2016, at the Covington Care Center. Fred was born in Parkersburg, West Virginia, on April 13, 1941, to the (late) Nelson Frederick and Edna Blair (Vandervort) Prange. He was a graduate of Parkersburg High School, Class of 1960; was an U.S. Air Force Vietnam veteran serving from 1961 to 1965; was a locksmith at Ace Hardware in Sidney and Troy with 30 years of service; was a lifetime member with the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 97, Huber Heights; and was very active with the Veteran's Museum in Troy. Preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 41 years, Barbara Diane (Stocker) Prange in 2010; and sister, Edna Lucretia Astle. Fred is survived by his four daughters, Elizabeth and Jeff Schroyer, of Troy, Jennifer Prange and Ben Hall, of Tipp City, Amanda and Robb Wilges, of Jacksonville, North Carolina, and Mary and Paul Lankford, of Covington; 13 grandchildren, Grady and Maddie, Cadalynn, Grace, Layton, LaShay, Payton, Nathan, Andon, Cale, CJ, Vanessa, Sophia, Gauge; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Richard and Carol Stocker; six nieces and nephews and their families; and numerous "adopted" children and grandchildren. Funeral service 7 p.m. Friday at Bridges-Stocker-Fraley Funeral Home, Covington, with Bill Marker officiating. The family will receive friends 4 p.m. Friday until time of service at the funeral home. If desired, contributions may be made to Hospice of Miami County.
