Clair Noftsger

SIDNEY — Clair Andrew Noftsger, 77, of LanePark of Sidney, of Sidney, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Aug. 21, 2014, at his residence.

Clair was born on Nov. 29, 1936, in Rochester, Indiana, to the late Frank and Burnette (Strong) Noftsger.

Surviving are his children, Michael Andrew Noftsger, of Williamsburg, Virginia, Brian Lee and Michelle Noftsger, of Sidney, and Rodney Joe and Elizabeth Noftsger, of Plymouth, Indiana; one grandson, Christopher James Noftsger.

Clair was preceded in death by his brothers, Benny and Jack Noftsger.

Clair served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean conflict. He was a member of Sidney American Post 217 and VFW Post 4239. Clair had an ear for music and could play the trumpet. He loved to go fishing and work Sudoku puzzles. He was a licensed certified public account and had worked at Noftsger Accounting.

There will be no calling hours, with private graveside services.

Memorial donations may be made to LanePark of Sidney, 1150 W. Russell Road, Sidney, OH, 45365 in Clair's memory. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
