SIDNEY — Clinton Gallagher, 82, of Sidney, passed away Sunday, May 4, 2014, at 8:54 a.m. at Wilson Memorial Hospital, surrounded by loved ones.
He was born on May 3, 1932, in Shannon County, Kentucky, the son of the late John Gallagher and Lena Grayson.
On July 24, 1954, he married Evelyn Fuller, who survives along with three children, Danny (Ruth) Gallagher, Cindy (Jeff) McMaster and Darrell (Kim) Gallagher, all of Sidney; seven grandchildren, Misty (David) Shields, Brice (Samantha) McMaster, Brittany Gallagher, April (Mike) Richards, Danielle (Drew) Evilsizor, Amy Wilson and Jennifer Gregory; 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, William and James, and one sister, Irene.
Mr. Gallagher was a United States Marine Corps veteran serving his country in the Korean War from 1951 to 1953. He retired from Copeland Corp. in Sidney.
Clinton enjoyed fishing and hunting, mostly for mushrooms and coons. He loved spending time with his family, especially his children and grandkids.
Funeral srvices will be held Wednesday, May 7, 2014, at 1 p.m. at Cromes Funeral Home, 302 S. Main Ave., Sidney, with the Rev. Tim Bartee officiating. Burial will follow at Shelby Memory Gardens in Sidney. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 11 a.m. until the hour of service.
