LOCKINGTON — A. Wavolene Reed, 85, of Lockington, died at 1:50 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 23, 2014, at Wilson Hospital.

She was born Dec. 14, 1928, in Meigs County to the late Floyd C. and Edna E. (Bowen) Bolton. She married Robert E. Reed Sr. June 28, 1947 in Piqua; he preceded her in death April 16, 2004.

Survivors include a son, Robert E. Reed Jr., of Sidney; a daughter Rosemary (Stephen) Knouff, of Sidney; seven grandchildren, Ashley (Ross) Reed-Kimble, Patrick Reed, Angela (Dan) Mayse, Todd (Dian) Carey, Ryan (Natalie) Carey, Jennifer (Brian) Swift, Joel (Susan) Knouff; and eight great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Veronica E. Reed, four brothers and four sisters.

Mrs. Reed was a 1946 graduate of Piqua Central High School and along with her husband, founded and operated Reed's Office Machines until their retirement in 1989. She enjoyed her Methodist faith all of her life and was active in the churches she was associated with as a Sunday School teacher, and volunteer. She enjoyed her family and many friends. She will be missed by her loving family.

A service to honor her life will begin at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 28, 2014, at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home, Piqua, with the Rev. Dale A. Ritts and Sister Rosie Coughlin co-officiating. Burial will follow at Beechwood Cemetery, Lockington.

Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
