PIQUA — Adagene "Ada" Wion, 77, of 10131 Fessler Buxton Road, Piqua, passed away at midnight Thursday, Sept. 3, 2015, at Miami Valley Hospital.

She was born on May 23, 1938, in Ransom, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Walter and Anna (Ison) Mayse. On Aug. 14, 1955, Ada married Vernon "Ted" Wion and he preceded her in death on May 30, 2013.

Ada is survived by her three children, Tim (Jamie) Wion, of Piqua, Tony (Susan) Wion, of Sidney,and Terri (Larry) Wogaman, of Houston; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and five siblings, William Mayse, Lacy Mayse, Jamie Mayse, all of Piqua, and Walter Mayse Jr. and Elizabeth Scott, both of Sidney.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Pauline Bey and Chris McLaughlin, and one brother, Willie Mayse.

Mrs. Wion was employed as Deputy Clerk of Courts in Shelby County. Ada was a 20 year member of ABWA. She enjoyed gardening and canning, playing cards, putting puzzles together and following the Cincinnati Reds. But most of all, Ada loved her family.

In keeping with Ada's wishes, her body will be cremated.

A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, Sept. 12, 2015, at the New Beginnings Church, 10288 Museum Trail, Lockington, from 2 to 4 p.m.

Arrangements are in the care of Cromes Funeral Home & Crematory, 302 S. Main Ave, Sidney.

Memorials may be made to Houston Rescue Squad and Lockington Volunteer Fire Department in memory of Adagene "Ada" Wion.
