YORKSHIRE — Judith Ann (Simon) Seger, 72, of Mendenhall Road, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes Thursday, June 19, 2014, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Dayton, Ohio.

She was born Nov. 29, 1941, in Versailles, Ohio, to Ferd "Pete" and Mildred (McEldowney) Simon. On Aug. 11, 1962, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Osgood, Judy married John Leo Seger, who preceded her in death on March 14, 2013.

She is survived by five children: Susan and John Merryman, of McIntyre, Pennsylvania, Joseph and Linda Seger, of Rossburg, Leo and Tina Seger, of New Weston, Janice Seger, of Osgood, and Sharon and Michael Hoelscher, of Versailles; 10 grandchildren: RaeAnne, Jeremiah, Rachel and Susan Merryman, Mitchell Arling, Seth, Korrie and Alaina Seger, Vivian and Jacobi Seger, Macey, Austin and Adam Hoelscher; two siblings: Lurene and Jerry Monnin, of Versailles,and Dan and Sheryl Simon, of Versailles; sisters and brothers-in-law: Mary Ann Simon, of Versailles, Hilda Siegel, of Fort Loramie, and Urban and Pauline Drees, of Yorkshire.

She was preceded in death by both parents; two brothers, Bernard "Bud" and Richard "Dick" Simon; brother-in-law, Norbert Siegel; and sister-in-law, Rita Drees.

Mrs. Seger was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church. She retired from Greenville Technologies Inc. in 2006. Over the years, she had also been a cook, homemaker and farm wife. Judy was the family organizer. She especially loved playing cards with family, friends and the "Goat Farmers" wives.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 24, 2014, at St. Nicholas Church in Osgood, with the Rev. David L. Zink presiding. Internment will follow at St. Martin's Cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 2 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9 to 10 a.m. at Gehret Funeral Home in Fort Loramie.
