PIQUA — Betty J. Weber, 89, of Piqua, passed away, Sunday, Sept. 20, 2015, at midnight at Piqua Manor.

She was born in Piqua, Ohio, on Oct. 18, 1925, to the late Clifford and Sarah (Patterson) Hollis. On June 20, 1953, in Liberty, Indiana, she married Ralph V. Weber. He preceded her in death on Oct. 15, 1995.

Betty is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Carl and Judith Weber, Indianapolis, Indiana; two daughters and sons-in-law, Constance and George Atkinson and Debra and Garry Miller, all of Piqua, Ohio; one brother, Norman Hollis, Bristol, Connecticut; nine grandchildren, Alishia and Thomas Henry, Amy and George Richardson, Betsy Pierson and Adam Carter, Brian Weber, Sara and Chip Holub, Chip Birman, Andrea and Trenton Karn, Sara and Joel Watson, Trisha and Steve Vermeercsh and 11 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Helen Link; and three brothers, John, Paul and Gerald Hollis.

Betty was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Piqua. She was employed at Tempo Trophy in Piqua for 18 years. She was also employed at Old Canal Coffee Shop in Piqua as a cook for 11 years before retiring in 2000. She was a member of the American Legion Post 184 and a member of the former Piqua Order of the Eagles. Betty loved cooking, socializing and she truly loved her dogs.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, Sept. 25, 2015, at 10:30 a.m. at Melcher-Sowers Funeral Home, Piqua, Ohio. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery, Piqua, Ohio, with the Rev. Thomas Bolte officiating. Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
