SIDNEY — Bryan John Harris, age 51, left us on July 15, 2015, in Sidney, Ohio.

He was born in Manchester, Connecticut, on Feb. 5, 1964. His longtime friend was born two days later at the same hospital.

Those who knew him will always remember his willingness to help others. His passion of many jobs was working the dynamite, landscaping and fishing. He had a kid-like behavior liking TV shows such as "The Simpsons," "The Cleveland's," "Bobs Burgers," "Saturday Night Live" and mostly his humor and compassion.

He was very kind and patient. He loved his many friends and family, including Jack and Ellie. He loved traveling all over the world, including visiting in Florida, fishing, crabbing, boating; visiting in East Port, Maine, with friends and family, sailing, boating and fishing; swimming and clamming in Connecticut; and swimming and fishing in the Hop River, in Andover, Connecticut, which were all of his favorite places. He often lived his life as in the prayer to St. Francis with the love of animals.

He loved life and his many friends and was the life of the party, loved music, loved bonfires, storytelling, antiquing, geology and the Women UConn Huskies basketball team. Who would move from the oceans to the flatlands of Sidney, Ohio. Just think of moving from the white sand to the brown sand. I knew he loved me.

I will remember him as my gentle giant. We will miss and love you until we meet again.

Partner, Bev Coles.

Preceding him in death was his father, Jack Harris, mother, Theresa Shannon Harris, stepmom, Ellie Rainey Harris, Cathy Rainey and Millie Rainey, Arlene Brandewie.

Surviving Bryan is Bonnie Burgos Harris, Kevin Harris, his close brother Pat Rainey (Prince William), Lori Rainey, stepson Josh Coles, and many nieces and nephews, aunts, cousins, the Brandewie family and the Bernard family.
