She was born on Feb. 28, 1932, in Newport, Ohio, the daughter of the late Orville and Elma (Shade) Couchot.

Carol was a devoted, loving wife of 65 years to Roy Asbury Jr., who survives, and was a great, loving mom to two daughters, Victoria Frohna and Sherri (Tom) Ward, both of Sidney. Also surviving her are three siblings, Joan (Jim) Romaker, Paul (Irma) Couchot and Linda (Doug) Short, all of Sidney, sister-in-law, Lois Couchot, of Sidney, four grandchildren, Jason (April) Frohna, Aaron Frohna, Joshua (Kelli) Ward and April (Jonathan) Abarca, and six great-grandchildren, Erik, Zachary, Alexander, Cecilee, Summer and Elijah.
